How much does it cost to ride?

If you do not have a current TMX membership card, the fee is $50 per day per rider.

If you have a current TMX membership, then the fee is $25 per day per rider.

How do I become a Tomahawk MX Member?

It's EASY!

  1. Complete all the paperwork
  2. Pay the membership fee(s)
  3. Put on the gear and start riding!

All you need to do is stop at the gatehouse when you arrive, complete the paperwork and pay the membership fee(s). Forms and Waivers can be pre-printed and brought to TMX to save you time. Minors MUST complete a separate release form. Visit our Membership Page for easy instructions.

Memberships are valid for 1 year from the date on your membership card.

I am not riding, I am coming along with friends/family. Do I still have to pay?

Yes. If you are coming on a race weekend, you will be required to pay a gate fee. That price will depend upon the race and/or the organization sponsoring the race. Prices vary.

If you are coming during a practice day then the cost to watch is $3 per person per day. Please pay at the gate when you register your rider(s). Please note that YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN ANY AND ALL WAIVERS PRIOR TO ENTERING THE GROUNDS. If you bring minor children with you and they are not riding, you will still be required to sign a waiver for them as well.

Remember……the price to ride is based on a “per rider” basis. If you are sharing a bike, then BOTH RIDERS must pay the fee.

Does TMX accept checks, credit or debit cards?

No. Sorry. Please bring cash.

It’s my first time coming to TMX. What do I do?

Stop at the gatehouse. Someone will assist you with paperwork and fees. A wristband will be given to you for the day and it is your ticket to be on the premises. Please be sure the wristband is visible at all times. Do not remove this wristband until you leave the premises.

Be sure you have the required safety gear. You must have:

Boots (6” or taller)
Long-sleeved pants and shirt

For your safety and due to the intensity of the sport WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND you invest in complete MX Clothing/Gear such as:

-MX boots
-MX gloves
-MX clothing
-MX knee pads
-MX chest protector
-MX neck protector

This type of gear can be purchased at your local motorsports shop. Visit our Sponsors page if you need to find one.

Sunscreen and bug spray will be helpful in the summer.

How many tracks are at TMX?

We have 4 tracks of different riding levels and terrain. We have the main motocross track, a supercross track, and 2 different tracks for beginners and advanced-beginners. TMX has 110 acres in total but the main tracks are located in the center of the parcel.

Is the track prepped? What are the track conditions? What is the weather?

Grooming and prepping will occur on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, in the morning prior to opening, when weather permits. The track is also prepped for special events and practices. It is a good idea to check our webcam before heading out.

Check the website and/or facebook for postings regarding track conditions.

Current weather can be found at The zip code for Hedgesville, WV is 25427.

No refunds are given for bad weather….check with Mother Nature before you ride.

Is there electric and water available for my use?

Yes and No. TMX has some hookups for RVs that have both electric and water. If you would like to rent one of these spots during your visit, please contact us PRIOR to your arrival to see if space is available. Prices for these spots will vary depending upon dates and the number of days you are staying.  We have thirteen 30-amp services and three 50-amp services available.

If you do not wish to use our RV hookups OR if all the spaces are taken, please bring your own generator and your own water. Anyone caught using water/electric without permission will be dismissed from the grounds without refund.

Please note that we have a 10:00 pm curfew on all generators unless they are low noise.

Please note…..There is no waste water dumping allowed on the grounds or on the paved roads around TMX.

And…..When washing your bike, please be aware of your water runoff and be courteous to your MX/camping neighbor.

What about overnight camping without an RV hookup?

Yes, we do allow camping onsite. Primitive camping and RV camping is perfectly fine at TMX. If you do not rent one of our hookup spaces, you will need to bring your own generator if you plan on using electricity but we do have a 10:00 pm curfew on all loud generators. We have a designated bike wash area just prior to the gatehouse if you don’t want to bring your own bikewash water. We suggest you bring your own water for cleaning your bike.

Porta-potties are available onsite; however, you may want to bring your own paper……just in case.

What about mobile phone service?

Usually US Cellular and Verizon are easily obtainable while on the grounds.
